6 Tips for Using a Wax Burner the Right Way

Looking to fill your home with beautiful aromas? Wax burners paired with our scented wax melts are a perfect way to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Follow these six essential tips to get the most out of your wax burner experience.

What Is a Wax Burner?
A wax burner (also known as a wax warmer or melter) is designed to gently heat wax melts and release their scent into the air. It usually includes a base, a heat source (typically a tealight or electric element), and a dish for holding the wax.

1. Pick the Right Burner
Not all burners are suitable for wax melts. Our entire range is safe for use, but if you’re shopping elsewhere, check the label on the bottom—burners marked for “oil only” often have smaller bowls and aren’t safe for wax melts.

2. Clean Before You Melt
Before using your burner, clean out any leftover wax. Light a tealight briefly to loosen old wax, then wipe the dish with cotton wool or kitchen roll. Starting fresh ensures the purest fragrance.

3. Add Your Wax Melts
Place one or two wax melts into the burner dish, adjusting based on your burner’s size and your scent strength preference. Break larger melts into smaller pieces if needed.

4. Light It Up
Pop an unscented 4-hour tealight underneath or turn on your electric burner. As the wax melts, the fragrance will gently fill your space.

5. Enjoy the Aroma
Sit back and soak in the beautiful scent. While the wax is melted, it continues to release fragrance. Just remember—never leave your burner unattended.

6. Time to Tidy Up
Once you’re done, extinguish the tealight or turn off the burner. Let the wax cool and solidify, then remove it using the same method from Step 2.

With these tips, you’ll enjoy a safe, clean, and wonderfully fragrant wax melting experience every time. Happy melting!
